Create SharePoint Sites

Apart from Group team sites, you can also create other SharePoint sites in EnPower based on your requirements, including Communication sites, team sites without Microsoft 365 Groups, Document centers, Enterprise wikis, Publishing portals, or Project Web App sites.

Create Communication Sites

To create a communication site, complete the following steps:

  1. On the SharePoint > SharePoint sites page, click Create.

  2. In the Create site panel, select Communication site as the type of site to create.

  3. Click Next to go to complete the basic information.

  4. Complete the basic information, including:

    • Site name – Enter the name of the site.

    • Tenant – Select the tenant of the site.

    • Site address – The address of the site. It is the same as the site name entered. However, you can edit this site address to make it different from the site name if needed.

    • Site owner – Enter the name or the email address of the user that you want to specify as the site owner.

    • Select a language – Select the language for the site.

    There are also advanced settings that you can configure for the communication site, including:

    • Time zone – Select the time zone for the site.

    • Site description – Enter a site description to tell people the purpose of this site.

    • Storage limit (GB) – Enter the site storage limit.

  5. Click Save to create the site.

Create Other Sites

To create a new team site without a Microsoft 365 Group, or a Document center, Enterprise wiki, Publishing portal, or Project Web App site, complete the following steps:

  1. On the SharePoint > SharePoint sites page, click Create.

  2. In the Create site panel, select Other options as the type of site to create.

  3. Click Next to go to complete the basic information for the site.

  4. Complete the basic information, including:

    • Site name – Enter the name of the site.

    • Tenant – Select the tenant of the site.

    • Select a template – Select the template for the site.

      *Note: Due to API limitations, Compliance policy center, My site host, Project Web App site, and Business Intelligence Center templates are currently not available in EnPower.

    • Site address – The address of the site. It is the same as the site name entered. However, you can edit this site address to make it different from the site name if needed.

    • Primary administrator – Enter the name or the email address of the user that you want to specify as the primary administrator of the site.

    • Select a language – Select the language for the site.

    There are also advanced settings that you can configure for the communication site, including:

    • Time zone – Select the time zone for the site.

    • Site description – Enter a site description to tell people the purpose of this site.

    • Storage limit (GB) – Enter the site storage limit.

  5. Click Save to create the site.
