Export to PDFGroup Team sites are Microsoft 365 Group-connected sites that can provide spaces for your users to collaborate in teams. To create a SharePoint Online Group team site in EnPower, complete the following steps:
On the SharePoint > Group team sites page, click Create.
In the Create Group team site panel, complete the basic information for the Group team site, including:
Site name – Enter the name of the Group team site.
Tenant – Select the tenant of the Group team site.
Group email address – The Group email address is for the Group that is connected to the Group team site. It is the same as the site name entered. However, you can edit this email address to make it different from the site name if needed.
Site address – The address of the Group team site. It is the same as the site name entered. However, you can edit this site address to make it different from the site name if needed.
Group owner – Enter the name or the email address of the user that you want to specify as the Group owner.
Select a language – Select the language for the site.
There are also advanced settings that you can configure for the Group team site, including:
Privacy settings – Select if the site is private or public. Private sites can only be accessed by Group members, while public sites can be accessed by anyone in the organization.
Time zone – Select the time zone for the site.
Site description – Enter a site description to tell people the purpose of this site.
Add Group members for the Group team site, including:
Add additional owners – Apart from the Group owner you have configured, you can also add additional owners to the Group to be additional site admins.
Add members – Add members to the Group and they will also be members of the Group team site.
Click Save to create the Group team site.
Apart from Group team sites, you can also create other SharePoint sites in EnPower based on your requirements, including Communication sites, team sites without Microsoft 365 Groups, Document centers, Enterprise wikis, Publishing portals, or Project Web App sites.
To create a communication site, complete the following steps:
On the SharePoint > SharePoint sites page, click Create.
In the Create site panel, select Communication site as the type of site to create.
Click Next to go to complete the basic information.
Complete the basic information, including:
Site name – Enter the name of the site.
Tenant – Select the tenant of the site.
Site address – The address of the site. It is the same as the site name entered. However, you can edit this site address to make it different from the site name if needed.
Site owner – Enter the name or the email address of the user that you want to specify as the site owner.
Select a language – Select the language for the site.
There are also advanced settings that you can configure for the communication site, including:
Time zone – Select the time zone for the site.
Site description – Enter a site description to tell people the purpose of this site.
Storage limit (GB) – Enter the site storage limit.
Click Save to create the site.
To create a new team site without a Microsoft 365 Group, or a Document center, Enterprise wiki, Publishing portal, or Project Web App site, complete the following steps:
On the SharePoint > SharePoint sites page, click Create.
In the Create site panel, select Other options as the type of site to create.
Click Next to go to complete the basic information for the site.
Complete the basic information, including:
Site name – Enter the name of the site.
Tenant – Select the tenant of the site.
Select a template – Select the template for the site.
Due to API limitations, Compliance policy center, My site host, Project Web App site, and Business Intelligence Center templates are currently not available in EnPower.
Site address – The address of the site. It is the same as the site name entered. However, you can edit this site address to make it different from the site name if needed.
Primary administrator – Enter the name or the email address of the user that you want to specify as the primary administrator of the site.
Select a language – Select the language for the site.
There are also advanced settings that you can configure for the communication site, including:
Time zone – Select the time zone for the site.
Site description – Enter a site description to tell people the purpose of this site.
Storage limit (GB) – Enter the site storage limit.
Click Save to create the site.
To create SharePoint Online sites in bulk, complete the following steps:
In the Group team sites or SharePoint sites tab, click Bulk create.
In the Bulk create panel:
Begin by choosing a tenant and then clicking Download to download the bulk creation template. Each tenant's bulk creation template can be tailored within the Bulk Creation Templates module. If your tenant has not customized the template, configure one or select Common template.
A ZIP file will be downloaded to your local device with both a template and an Instruction for template file. Refer to the instructions and complete your configurations in the CSV template.
Click Select files or simply drop the completed file to the Upload the CSV file section in the panel.
Click Create. A process will start to create the sites. You can then check the creation result and download the process report in Process center.
