Elements now offers integration with marketplaces: ALSO, TD SYNNEX StreamOne Ion, Microsoft CSP, ArrowSphere, and Ingram Micro Xvantage. This integration allows partners to seamlessly purchase and manage cloud licenses, together with a centralized dashboard for tracking expenses, comparing prices, and optimizing plans for cost savings. Additionally, the license change request page simplifies the process of managing license requests for new user onboarding. Partners can easily view monthly usage, approve or schedule purchases, and ensure uninterrupted access for all users. The integration can enhance overall license management efficiency and compliance.

Understanding Subscriptions and Licenses

To interpret Elements licensing information correctly, it's essential to differentiate between subscriptions and licenses.

When you purchase Microsoft licenses, whether from a distributor or directly from Microsoft, you are purchasing a subscription that provides a specific number of licenses for a product, such as Microsoft 365 E3. This subscription exists only at the purchase level and is not reflected in Microsoft Entra. Once the licenses are allocated to your Microsoft Entra tenant, they become part of a license pool. Microsoft Entra does not track the origins of these licenses from different subscriptions, and you cannot assign a license from a specific subscription to a user.
