Restore Tenant Configurations

Elements offers robust backup and restore capabilities for tenant management, which allows you to restore the tenant configurations to a specific backup on a certain date in the case of issues or unexpected modifications.

    - Daily backup – Once a tenant is connected, a default daily backup will start every day at 00:00. This regular backup maintains up-to-date data recovery points, ensuring flexible restoration options. - Pre-deployment backup – Before deploying configurations to a tenant, Elements performs a pre-deployment backup of the tenant configurations, ensuring that tenant configurations are safely backed up before any modifications are made.

The process of restoring tenant configurations to a specific backup involves the following steps:

    1. Select backup – To begin with, you need to select a backup that you want to restore.

    2. Retrieve settings – Elements retrieves configurations from both the tenant and the selected backup to generate a comparison page highlighting discrepancies.

    3. Review comparisons – You need to review the comparisons between tenant’s current configurations and backup, and make updates to ensure the accurate configurations will be restored.

    4. Execute restore – When the configurations meet your requirements, you can initiate the restore process to restore the configurations to the tenant.

    5. Manage configuration deviations – There are routine comparisons of current tenant configurations against deployed baseline standards to detect configuration deviations. You can view and manage these configuration deviations. For detailed instructions, refer to Manage Detected Configuration Deviations.
