Data Privacy
Data privacy settings allow users to define their preferred level of data protection. Administrators can control what personal identifying information is returned in tyGraph and can specify which sensitive information should be obfuscated, based on specific requirements.
To edit the data privacy, navigate to Settings > Data privacy, locate a tenant and click the Edit button, and then complete the following configurations in the Edit data privacy panel.
- **Specify the scope for data privacy settings** – Define a user scope to obfuscate or obscure the personal identifying information.
- **None** – No data will be obfuscated.
- **All users** – The information of all users will be obfuscated.
- **User property** – Specify the user property to define which users to obfuscate. You can select specific property values for obfuscation. If you want to obfuscate the information of users whose property value is blank, select **No information**.
- **Privacy settings** – Specify the obfuscation level for each accessible module. Select the options below as required:
- **Clear** – All data of the user can be collected and viewed in reports.
- **Obfuscate** – All data of the user is collected, and the identifying information will be replaced with <Anonymized>.
- **Opt-out** – All data of the user will not be displayed in reports.
- **Allow these columns to be exposed for obfuscated** **users** – This option is only available when you select **Obfuscate** for private settings. Select attributes of the users whose data have been obfuscated to display.
- **Anonymize the column with** **no more** **than** – This option is only available when you select **Obfuscate** for private settings. Customize the minimum number of active users for anonymizing columns. If the number of users corresponding to an attribute value in reports is no more than the set number, the attribute value will be obfuscated in the report.
After editing the data privacy settings for the tenant, click Save.
*Note: It might take up to 24 hours to see the latest report data after the settings are updated.
