#Self-hosted Users FAQs

With tyGraph legacy, some users opted to host the Microsoft Entra ID resources for tyGraph within their own organization. These users can continue to host their own data or evaluate whether migrating to an AvePoint tyGraph SaaS-hosted product is a fit for them.

#Does AvePoint tyGraph support customer-hosted environments?

No. AvePoint tyGraph is a SaaS only offering. Your existing tyGraph legacy product will continue to work as it does today. Existing customer-hosted environments will continue to receive updated Power BI reports as they do today.

#Will self-hosted users still receive new updates?

Yes, self-hosted users will receive updates to Power BI reports and web parts. However, they will not receive new features such as web-based reports, benchmarking, and configuration management provided by AvePoint tyGraph.

#Why can’t some new features be made available to self-hosted users?

Many new features including reports and configuration management are dependent on SaaS services only available in the AvePoint cloud. It’s not feasible to make these features available inside a self-hosted environment.

#Can we migrate from self-hosted to AvePoint tyGraph?

Yes. Existing self-hosted users may opt to migrate to AvePoint tyGraph. During this process, we will work with your IT teams to transfer over the Microsoft Entra ID resources to our subscription to complete the migration. At this point, AvePoint will host your data going forward.

#What security processes/certifications/audits does AvePoint have?

AvePoint understands the importance of security and operational risk management. AvePoint has the following certifications: ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27701, IRAP, SOC2, CSA STAR Level 2, and FedRAMP. #When will self-hosted tenants be able to migrate to AvePoint tyGraph?

We are expecting to make migrations for self-hosted users available in Q1 2025.

#Is AvePoint going to discontinue support for self-hosted users?

While we are no longer offering the self-hosted option to new customers, we have not announced any plans to discontinue support for existing self-hosted customers.
