#Aviator

Aviator allows you to copy or merge Microsoft 365 Groups, Teams, channels, SharePoint data, or OneDrive data across Microsoft 365 Commercial tenants, Microsoft 365 Government GCC High tenants, and Microsoft 365 Government GCC tenants.

#Subscription and Licensing Information

Aviator can be used after you purchase a capacity subscription for the module. The subscription will be consumed based on your copied or merged data size. You can contact AvePoint Support to learn more.

#Initial Setup

Before using Aviator, complete the following setup steps for your tenants.

1. Create tenant connections in AvePoint Online Services.

   To load tenants where you want to copy or merge data, create the tenant connections in AvePoint Online Services.

2. Prepare authentication accounts with required permissions.

   • Microsoft Teams

     • Permissions Required by Source Teams

     • Permissions Required by Destination Teams

   • Microsoft 365 Groups

     • Permissions Required by Source Microsoft 365 Groups

     • Permissions Required by Destination Microsoft 365 Groups

   • OneDrive

     • Permissions Required by Source OneDrive

     • Permissions Required by Destination OneDrive

   • SharePoint Online

     • Permissions Required by Source SharePoint Online

     • Permissions Required by Destination SharePoint Online

3. Run an auto discovery in AvePoint Online Services.

   To load the following data to be copied or merged, run an auto discovery in AvePoint Online Services to scan the objects to containers.

   • Teams

   • Groups

   • SharePoint Online site collections

   • OneDrive sites

4. (Optional) Run a tenant discovery in Fly to understand the object count, object type, object size, and other details of your tenants.
