    Configure the Outlook Profile

Fly provides a Fly Assist tool to automatically create a mail profile on the user’s devices and update the Outlook profile to the new one. Then, users can use the new email address after the Exchange Online migration.

Note the following information if you want to use the Fly Assist tool:

The security defaults of your Microsoft 365 tenant must be disabled.

The Fly Assist tool supports configuring the Outlook profile for users with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled in Microsoft 365.

The Fly Assist tool does not support the new Outlook.

To use the Fly Assist tool to configure the Outlook profile, make sure the end user device uses a Windows operating system and has Outlook 2016 or a later version installed as well as a default Outlook profile.

For end users using Outlook 2013 or earlier versions, Microsoft has recommended the upgrade to Outlook for Microsoft 365. Refer to for details. Fly Assist tool is not supported, and we recommend that users upgrade their Office to use Outlook for Microsoft 365 and create a new profile directly.

When the source email address and destination email address are the same, the end user also needs to configure the Outlook profile using this tool.

    - The Fly Assist tool can only update the currently logged-in email account’s profile in the default profile. If there are multiple email accounts in the default profile, you need to run the tool for every account to update every email account’s profile.

The signature of your Outlook cannot be migrated. You can manually update the destination signature after the migration.

You can download the tool by following the processes below, and then let users update their Outlook profile using the tool.
