Export to PDFAn Exchange On-Premises migration project allows you to better organize and migrate multiple mailboxes all in one. After you create a project, the project will be listed on the Projects page, where mappings created within the project will be classified according to their migration status.
Click the project name, or Mappings link to view all migration mappings in this project. Clicking the number of the status column value of a project will take you to view the corresponding mappings.
*Note: The count of Mappings only includes Not completed, Finished, Exceptions, Failed, Stopped, but does not include In progress, In queue, or Scheduled.
Refer to the following steps to create a project:
Click Projects in the left pane, and click Create project to create a project.
In the General Information step, enter a project name, and optionally select a tag for the project. The tag can be used to filter the project.
Generally, you may create tags in the Tags section under Settings before creating a project, and the tags will be loaded when you click the Tag text box. If your desired tag cannot be found in the list, you can click the Add (
) button next to the Tag text box to create a new tag. In the Create tag pane, enter a tag name and an optional description for the tag, and click Save to save the tag.
Click Next.
In the Connection step, select the source and destination types and connections for the project to define where you want to migrate from/to.
Generally, you may create connections before creating a project, and the connections will be loaded when you click the Source or Destination text box. If your desired connection cannot be found in the list, you can click the Add (
) button to create a new connection. Refer to Create a Connection for details.
Click Next.
In the Migration Policy step, select a migration policy for the project. The policy is used to define settings for the migration and will apply to all mappings within the project.
Generally, you may create migration policies before creating a project, and the policies will be loaded when you click the Migration policy text box. If your desired policy cannot be found in the list, you can click the Add (
) button to create a new policy. You can also click View details to view the detailed information of the selected migration policy and edit the settings, if necessary. Refer to Create a Migration Policy for details.
Click Save to finish creating the project. A message will appear to indicate that the project has been created successfully, and you can choose a method on the message page to configure mappings for the project. You can also click Go back to Projects to return to the Projects page, and create mappings to the project from the Projects page later. Refer to Create Migration Mappings for details.
After you create projects, you can perform the following actions to manage the projects on the Projects page.
