Create a Connection

To connect Fly to your source and destination Microsoft 365 tenants to migrate Power Automate flows or Power Apps, you need to add connections in Fly before the migration.

Refer to the following steps to add Fly connections for Power Platform Migration:

    1. Click Settings in the left pane, and select Connections to access the Connections page.

    2. Click Create connection. The Create connection panel appears.

    3. In the Create connection panel, complete the following settings:

      • Connection name – Enter a name for the connection.

      • Connection type – Select Power Platform from the drop-down list to create a connection.

      • Tenant – Select a tenant from/to which you want to migrate Power Automate flows or Power Apps. You can enter the keyword of a tenant in the Search tenant text box and press Enter on the keyboard to search the tenant.

If your desired tenant cannot be found from the drop-down list, you need to connect to the tenant in AvePoint Online Services Tenant management. Refer to for details. Then click the Refresh (Button: Refresh button.) button to reload the tenant.

      • Environment container – Select a container of the tenant selected above if you want to automatically set up your mappings. You can enter the keyword of a container in the Search container text box and press Enter on the keyboard to search the container. Make sure at least one scan job has been run in AvePoint Online Services, and there are objects in the container. If the container still cannot be found in the drop-down list, you can set up a scan profile in AvePoint Online Services to use Auto Discovery to find the objects you want to migrate. Refer to for details. Then, click the Refresh (Button: Refresh button.) button to reload the container.

      • Credentials – Select a service account and an app profile of the tenant selected above to run the migration jobs. You can enter the keyword of an app profile in the Search app profile text box and press Enter on the keyboard to search the app profile.

*Note: If the tenant has enabled a conditional access policy or if the service account has Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled, you can change to only use the Fly App for Power Platform for authentication and the consent user can have the MFA enabled. The license and permission requirements for the consent user are the same as those for the service account.

*Note: If you select to create a new app profile/service account in AvePoint Online Services, after you create the app profile/service account, click the Refresh (Button: Refresh button.) button to reload the app profile or service account.

    4. Click Save to save your configurations.

On the Connections page, you can manage the existing connections.

    - Filter – Click **Filter** to filter connections by connection type and/or tenant. - Search – Enter the keyword of a connection name in the search box to search for the desired connection. - Edit – Click the connection name to edit a connection. - Delete – Select a connection and click **Delete** to delete it. Or you can select one or multiple connections and click **Delete** to delete them.
