Disconnect a Customer

    To disconnect a customer from Elements, on the Customers page, click the ellipsis button of the customer, and select Disconnect customer from Elements in the drop-down list.

    If you disconnect a customer from Elements, only the data related to this customer in the partner portal will be permanently deleted by default. The data in other product environments will not be deleted (for example: backup data). A pop-up window appears asking for your confirmation. Enter Yes in the text box and click Disconnect to confirm your operation.

    You can also request to delete all the customer tenant data from AOS. Select the Request customer tenant deletion checkbox and enter Yes in the text box and click Disconnect to confirm your operation. A support ticket will be created automatically for the customer tenant deletion request. After the request is reviewed and approved, all customer tenant data will be permanently removed. This action is irreversible.

    Important tips

    • A customer can only be connected to one Elements tenant.
    • When a subscription is purchased for a customer who is not managed by another partner and has not been added to another partner's Elements tenant, that customer is connected to the purchasing partner's tenant.

    • If the partner later selects the Customer management of tenant mode, the customer will receive a welcome email with guidance for self-management. The customer remains connected to that partner's tenant for subscription management.

    • To remove a customer from a partner's Elements tenant, the customer must not have any active subscriptions associated with that partner. After all subscriptions are canceled, the customer can be disconnected from the partner.
