    Set Matching Theory Method

A matching theory method determines the method, either name-based matching or similarity-based matching, used to match baseline and tenant instances during drift detection. The Matching theory method column in the tenant table displays the matching theory method currently applied to the tenant.

Refer to the following steps to set a matching theory method for a tenant:

    1. On the Tenants page, select the tenant where you want to set a matching theory method.

    2. Click Settings > Set matching theory method.

    3. Select a matching theory method:

      • Name-based matching - Matches tenant instances against baseline standards solely based on their names.

      • Similarity-based matching - Initially attempts to match tenant instances against baseline standards by name. If an instance cannot be matched by name, similarity scores will be calculated to identify potential matches. You can manually review and map these similarity-driven instances on the Map similarity-driven instances page for further comparison.

    4. Click Save.
