Configure Schedule Settings

On the Schedule settings page, you can find the following job types where you can configure job schedule:

  • Synchronize terms – Synchronizes the term trees in AvePoint Opus to destinations so that these terms are available for classification. You can Synchronize Terms to choose the destinations of term synchronization.

  • Apply settings to SharePoint Online – Applies the configured settings to SharePoint Online content.

  • Apply settings to Exchange Online – Applies the configured settings to Exchange Online content.

  • Apply settings to SharePoint On-Premises – Applies the configured settings to SharePoint On-Premises content.

  • Apply settings to Google Drive – Applies the configured settings to Google Drive content.

  • Synchronize SharePoint Online content for search – Synchronizes content from SharePoint Online to AvePoint Opus for search and management.

  • Synchronize Exchange Online content for search – Synchronizes content from Exchange Online to AvePoint Opus for search and management.

  • Synchronize File System content for search – Synchronizes content from File System to AvePoint Opus for search and management.

  • Synchronize SharePoint On-Premises content for search – Synchronizes content from SharePoint On-Premises to AvePoint Opus for search and management.

  • Synchronize OneDrive content for search – Synchronizes content from OneDrive to AvePoint Opus for search and management.

  • Synchronize Azure File Share content for search – Synchronizes content from Azure File Share to AvePoint Opus for search and management.

  • Synchronize Box content for search – Synchronizes content from Box to AvePoint Opus for search and management.

  • Synchronize Google Drive content for search – Synchronizes content from Google Drive to AvePoint Opus for search and management.

  • Scan SharePoint On-Premises – Scans web applications and site collections from SharePoint On-Premises to AvePoint Opus.

  • Prune archived data – Prunes the archived data in storage locations based on the configured retention rules.

  • Delete archived data after restoration – Delete archived data from the archival storage after it has been restored via the in place restore method.

    Prerequisites for this functionality: your organization’s subscription for AvePoint Opus has Bring your own storage (BYOS) enabled, and you have contacted AvePoint Support to enable this feature in the backend.

  • Destroy stubs – Pruning stubs based on retention rules you have configured in stub templates.

Run Job Immediately

If you want to run a job immediately, click the Run now button next to the job type.

Configure Job Schedule

Clicking the Edit job schedule button next to a job type will open the Configure job schedule panel, where you can configure a schedule to run the job periodically.

No schedule – If a job schedule has already been configured, selecting this option and then clicking Save will remove the existing job schedule.

Configure a schedule – Select this option if you want to configure a customized schedule to run jobs. To configure a schedule, complete the following information and then click Save to save the configured settings.

  • Start time – Select the start time for the job. Click the Calendar button, set a start time, and then click OK to save it.

  • Interval – Specify an interval for the job to recur.

  • End time – Select an option:

    • No end date – The job will be run repeatedly until you manually stop it.

    • End after __occurrences – The job will stop after the defined occurrences that you entered in this field.

    • End by __ – The job will stop at the exact date and time that you selected.
