Azure File Share

Before configuring settings for Azure File Share content, make sure you have configured connection groups and connections. For more information, refer to Configure Connections.

To manage Azure File Share content, you need to perform the following operations in order:

    1. Configure term settings on a tree node to choose how to classify the File Share content.

    2. Run a Content synchronization for search job to synchronize content from Azure File Share to AvePoint Opus and apply the configured term settings at the same time.

Select one node from the tree on the left pane, and then the available settings will appear on the right pane. You can then click the Edit settings (Button: Edit) button next to each section to edit its settings.

    - When settings are configured on a node, the settings configured (![Icon: Unique Settings](/en/avepoint-opus/content-sources/information-lifecycle/azure-file-share/images/image137.png "Icon: Unique Settings")) icon will appear on the node, and all child nodes will inherit these settings with the Inherited settings (![Icon: inherited settings](/en/avepoint-opus/content-sources/information-lifecycle/azure-file-share/images/image138.png "Icon: inherited settings")) icon displayed on the child node. - If any child node requires specific settings different from the parent, you can select the child node and configure its settings. This action will break the inheritance from the parent node. To convert, you can click select the child node and click **Inherit** **parent** **settings** to restore the parent’s settings for the child node.
