Run Storage Optimization Jobs
Select a node from the tree and then click Run storage optimization job to immediately run a Storage optimization job to enforce rules to the selected node to manage the content.
AvePoint Opus also provides a solution for the case where you want to run a Run storage optimization job on multiple site collections within a site container node and would like to define these site collections via a CSV file instead of selecting them individually from the tree.
*Note: Please contact AvePoint Support to enable this feature in the backend if you want to use it.
Once this feature is enabled in the backend, you will find two options as below:
- By clicking **Run** **storage optimization job** > **Run on all site collections**, you are going to run a **Storage optimization** job on all site collections within.
> ***Note**: Site collections with unique settings will be skipped in the **Storage optimization** job.
- By clicking **Run** **storage optimization job** > **Run on** **specific** **site collections**, you are going to run a **Storage optimization** job only on the specified site collections.
> ***Note**: If you want to run on specific site collections, you need to contact AvePoint Support to enable it in the backend.
To run a **Storage optimization** job on the specified site collections, you need to click **Download template** to download a template, fill in the site collection URLs, and then import the template. Click **Run now** to immediately start a **Storage optimization** job.
> ***Note**: The **Storage optimization** job will follow the settings configured on the site container node, regardless of whether unique settings have been configured on these specified site collections. Please ensure that the settings configured at the site container node align with your optimization requirements for the targeted site collections.
