Configure Connections

    To manage content in Azure File Share using AvePoint Opus, you need to create a connection group. A connection group is a container of connections. A connection connects AvePoint Opus to your Azure file share.

    Refer to the following steps to create a connection group:

    1. Click Configure connection to open the Configure connection page.

    2. Under the Connection group tab, click Create.

    3. Enter a connection group name and an optional description.

    4. Click Add connection. Select the connections that you want to add to the current connection group and click Add connection.

    5. Click Save to create the connection group.

    Refer to the following steps to create a connection:

    1. Click Configure connection to open the Configure connection page.

    2. Under the Connection tab, click Create.

    3. Enter a connection name and an optional description.

    4. Complete the following information in the File share information section:

      • Endpoint – Enter the endpoint of the file share. You can use one of the following methods to find the endpoint of a file share in the Microsoft Entra admin center.

        • Switch to the JSON View, locate the primaryEndpoints parameter, and copy the parameter value of file under it.

        • View the properties of the file share, and locate the URL property. Remove the file share name from the URL.

      • File share name – Enter the file share name.

      • Storage account name – Enter the storage account name.

      • Access key – Enter the access key.

    5. Click Save to create the connection.
