Export to PDFAvePoint Cloud Governance uses Microsoft Graph API as the default and recommended method for Microsoft 365 Groups and Microsoft Teams provisioning and management. However, you can choose to use Exchange Web Services API if you have the following requirements for group/team management:
Create groups or teams in multiple domains.
Set the language of the welcome email that Microsoft sends to the group mailbox upon the group/team provisioning.
Retrieve the last modified time of groups/teams, including the last modified time of the corresponding calendar, Outlook group conversations, or the time that the group receives the latest email in Outlook’s inbox for inactivity calculation.
Send copies of conversations and events to group/team members’ inboxes.
Allow users outside your organization to send emails to groups/teams.
You can configure impersonation accounts to enable Exchange Web Services API in the modern Cloud Governance admin center. For more instructions, refer to Configure Impersonation Accounts. AvePoint Cloud Governance will use the credentials of the impersonation accounts to invoke the Exchange Web Services API and manage groups/teams.
For more details, refer to Appendix H - About Microsoft Graph API (Recommended Method for Microsoft 365 Groups and Microsoft Teams Management) and Appendix I - About Exchange Web Services API.
