#Manage API Authentication Profiles

To consume the AvePoint Cloud Governance API, you need an access token. An access token can be generated via a client ID and a client secret. To obtain a client ID and a client secret, configure an API authentication profile.

To create an API authentication profile, click API Authentication Management in the System group within Settings. Then, you will be redirected to the API authentication profiles page in the modern Cloud Governance admin center.
