#Configure Services

A service is a set of configured settings for a management operation in Microsoft 365 that can be leveraged by business users when submitting a service request. Administrators can limit what options are available to Business Users based on the standards of practice of the organization.

AvePoint Cloud Governance provides provisioning services, lifecycle management services, administration services, security services, content move services, and custom services.

• Provisioning services can be used to:

  • Create site collections

  • Create sites

  • Create libraries and lists

  • Create Microsoft 365 Groups

  • Create Microsoft Teams

  • Create Viva Engage communities

• Lifecycle Management services can be used to:

  • Manage site collection lifecycle

  • Manage site lifecycle

  • Manage Microsoft 365 Group lifecycle

  • Manage Microsoft Team lifecycle

  • Manage Viva Engage community lifecycle

• Administration services can be used to:

  • Change site collection contacts or administrators

  • Change site collection settings

  • Change site contacts

  • Change site settings

  • Change library settings and list settings

  • Change Microsoft 365 Group settings

  • Change Microsoft Team settings

  • Change Viva Engage community settings

• Security services can be used to:

  • Grant permissions

  • Clone or transfer user permissions

  • Change permissions

  • Manage permissions, including permission management and SharePoint group management

• Content Move services can be used to copy or move SharePoint contents, so the content and topology of your SharePoint environment can be restructured.

• Custom Service can be used to execute your desired action via the methods that are defined in a published Web Service.

To create or manage services, click Service in the Request Management group within Settings. When you configure a service, refer to the Common Service Settings section to configure the common service settings that exist in all types of services.
