Export to PDFWhen your administrator enables ownership recertification for your site collection and selects you as the assignee, an ownership recertification task will be generated and assigned to you. You can claim or decline to become the primary site collection contact.
On the Home page, navigate to the Confirmations section in your To-do list. The ownership recertification tasks that need your review are displayed. You can filter the tasks by Due date or Created date. Locate a site collection ownership recertification task and click the view button to view details in a panel.
Click Certify on the ribbon. The details of the site collection are displayed. You have the following options:
Claim – Click Claim to become the primary site collection contact. In the pop-up window, define a user as the secondary site collection contact by entering a username in the text box. Then, click OK to confirm.
Decline – Click Decline to decline to become the primary site collection contact. A pop-up window appears to ask for your confirmation. Click OK to confirm.
