Export to PDFAs an IT administrator, you may need to configure multiple services in AvePoint Cloud Governance to satisfy various requirements in your organization. You can export and import service templates to create services in bulk.
To configure service templates, click Profiles & templates > Service templates.
For a successful import of a service template, AvePoint recommends that the languages in all of the following be the same:
The display language of the Cloud Governance admin center when you export a service template.
The display language of the Cloud Governance admin center when you import a service template.
The language of your Cloud Governance environment that was set when your tenant was initialized. You can refer to the built-in email template name to know the initialization language of your Cloud Governance. To view the built-in email template name, navigate to the classic Cloud Governance admin center > Settings > Email Templates.
To export a service template, complete the following steps:
Click Profiles & templates > Service templates.
Click Export atemplate on the ribbon, and select one of the following service types:
Create site collection service
Create Microsoft 365 Group service
Create Microsoft Team service
In the Export a template panel, configure the following settings:
Export job name – Enter a name for the export job.
Description – Enter an optional description for the export job.
Service template type – Choose a service template type to export:
A sample template – The sample template file contains a sample service, as well as a sample policy and profiles.
A template from an existing service – Select an existing service from the drop-down list. The policy and profiles applied to the service will also be included in the template file.
Click Export to save all your configurations. In the Export service template window, click OK to confirm the export.
Click Job monitor on the left navigation panel to access the Job monitor page.
When the export job is completed, you can select the job and click Download on the ribbon to download the template file.
The downloaded service template file is a ZIP file. After you extract the ZIP file, you can see the JSON file for each service, policy, category, approval process, etc. You can configure a Create Site Collection service, Create Microsoft 365 Group service, or Create Microsoft Team service based on the exported service template file.
After you configure the JSON files, compress all modified JSON files to a ZIP file. Then, import the ZIP template file into AvePoint Cloud Governance.
To import a service template, complete the following steps:
Click Profiles & templates > Service templates.
Configure the following settings on the Import a template page:
Import job name – Enter a name for the import job.
Description – Enter an optional description for the import job.
Import a template file (.zip) – Browse and select a ZIP template file to import to AvePoint Cloud Governance.
Click Import to save all your configurations. In the Import service template window, click OK to confirm the import.
Go to the homepage of the Cloud Governance admin center.
Click Job monitor on the left navigation panel to access the Job Monitor page.
When the import job is completed, you can select the job and click Download on the ribbon to download the import result report. When the modified service template is successfully imported into Cloud Governance, you can see the service on the Services page in the modern Cloud Governance admin center or on the Service Management page in the classic Cloud Governance admin center.
