    Configure Microsoft 365 Group Limit Access Profiles

    A Microsoft 365 Group limit access profile can be applied to a Microsoft 365 Group to define how to manage group membership and group team site permissions when access to the group is limited in AvePoint Cloud Governance.

    To configure Microsoft 365 Group limit access profiles, click the Limit access profile card on the Profiles & templates page.

    To define limit access profiles for Microsoft 365 Groups, click Create > Microsoft 365 limit access profile on the ribbon to open the Create Microsoft 365 Group limit access profile panel and configure the following settings:

    1. Profile name – Enter a name for the Microsoft 365 Group limit access profile.

    2. Description – Enter a description for the Microsoft 365 Group limit access profile.

    3. Group membership – To manage the group membership, configure the following settings:

      • Remove all group members – Select this option to remove all group members when access to a Microsoft 365 Group is limited.

      • Change group owners – Choose to Remove all group owners or Demote all group owners togroup members when access to a Microsoft 365 Group is limited.

        If you choose to change group owners, you must enter at least one username in the text box to Assign the group owner role to specific users.

    4. Group team site permissions – To manage the group team site permissions, configure the following settings:

      • Change group team site permissions – Select this option to change group team site permissions when access to a Microsoft 365 Group is limited.

        If you choose to change group team site permissions, select one of the following options:

        • Make the site read-only for group members – When access to a Microsoft 365 Group is limited, the group team site will be read-only to group members.

        • Make the site read-only for all users except the group owners – When access to a Microsoft 365 Group is limited, the group team site will be read-only to all users except the group owners.

        • Remove all site permissions from users except the group owners – When access to a Microsoft 365 Group is limited, all site permissions from users except the group owners will be removed.

      • Lock the group team site – Select this option to lock the group team site when access to a Microsoft 365 Group is limited. You can choose one of the following statuses for the locked group team site:

        • Lock the site in “no access” status

        • Lock the site in “read-only” status

    5. Click Save to save your configurations.
