#Google Cloud Storage

To protect your Google Cloud Storage buckets using AvePoint Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS, follow these steps:

1. Enable IAM API in Google Cloud Platform.

   • Enable the IAM API in Google Cloud Platform. See Enable IAM API in Google Cloud Platform for details.

2. Create a service account in Google Cloud Platform.

   • Create a service account in Google Cloud Platform. See Create a Service Account in Google Cloud Platform for details.

3. Obtain credentials.

   • Get the required credentials of your service account. See Obtain Credentials for Service Account for details.

4. Create a service account in AvePoint Online Services.

   • Create a service account in AvePoint Online Services. See Manage Google Cloud Service Account Profiles for details.

5. Create the backup scope.

   • Navigate to Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS > Backup page and create a backup scope for Google Cloud Storage buckets. Both the SaaS Infrastructure mode and CAP Gateway mode are available. Define the protected buckets, configure the backup start time, and ensure the data retention policy and backup schedule meet your organization's needs. 6. Monitor and manage backups.

   • Regularly monitor the backup status and ensure that backups are running as scheduled. See Monitor Your Backup for details.

7. Test restores.

   • Periodically test the restore process to ensure that you can recover data quickly and accurately.
