General Availability Date for the U.S. Government Environment: August 16, 2026

The following features are in preview in the Insights for Microsoft 365 insider environment, and will be available in the commercial and U.S. Government environments on the general availability dates.

General Updates

  • Private Preview: Data connector is now available to allow users to connect their data from other applications to Insights. This connector enables users to analyze their data in the following applications and gain insights into their data security and compliance:
    • Amazon S3
    • Box
    • DocuSign
    • File system
    • Jira
    • Confluence
    • monday.com
  • The risk analysis overview report has been renamed to risk analysis workspaces report.

What’s New in Insights for Microsoft 365?

  • You can now view the risk level and exposure level of Copilot Studio agents in the agents report. You can also access permission-related reports for each agent in the Availability tab on the agent details page.
  • With premium scan mode enabled, you can choose whether content that matches sensitivity conditions is displayed in Insights.
  • You can now configure export settings in the search profile without setting a schedule, making it easier to generate one-time reports as needed.
  • The data type search on the following pages has been updated to return results that contain the entered keywords, rather than only results that start with them:
    • Risk analysis > Detailed records page, Data type filter search
    • Sensitivity definition > Add condition window
    • Data type management page
