    AvePoint Cloud Governance September 2020

    Release Date: September 6, 2020

    - The following features are now available in the new Cloud Governance admin center: - When configuring a guest user renewal profile, the IT administrator can now choose to **Require the requester to specify the time to generate a one-time renewal process for guest** **users**, and then specify a duration as the limit for business users’ configuration for the one-time renewal task generation time. The IT administrator can now choose to **Enable escalation for the overdue renewal process** and select one of the following two options as the escalation: - **Remove the guest user from Azure Active Directory** - **Block the guest user from signing in and accessing the services and data in your Microsoft 365 tenant** - In the **Workspace report**, the IT administrator can view the lifecycle timeline of workspaces. The timeline has been improved to include the workspace created time and the import process activities. The activities related to the workspace renewal process have been also improved. - When the IT administrators view the lifecycle timeline of a workspace in the **Workspace report**, they can now view the following management history of the workspace by choosing **Manage workspace** under the **Action type**: - Delete the workspace - Lock the workspace - Unlock the workspace - Specify contacts for the workspace - The IT administrator can now sort and filter workspaces in the **Workspace report**. - There are now six built-in views in the **Workspace report**, and the IT administrator can also save a view as a custom view, publish a view, and delete a view. Added additional columns to the **Workspace report**. When IT administrators choose columns, they can now choose from the following column groups: **Basic information**, **User information**, **Advanced information**, **Lifecycle information**, and **Metadata**. The IT administrator can now delete workspaces in the **Workspace report**. In the fields where users or groups can be added, the IT administrator can now copy and paste the e-mail address from Outlook address bar.

AvePoint Cloud Governance now supports the Yammer community as a new workspace type. A few existing references of "Group/Team" in the Cloud Governance interfaces have been updated to "Group/Team/Community" or "Workspace" to support the new Yammer community features. If you have configured any Cloud Governance terminology mappings that reference "Group/Team" in the source terms, you should create additional mappings that use the new "Group/Team/Community" or "Workspace" terms. If these mappings are not updated, users may see the standard Cloud Governance GUI terms instead of your intended replacement language.

To use AvePoint Cloud Governance to manage Yammer communities, there must be a Yammer app profile configured in AvePoint Online Services. When the Yammer app profile is created, the **AOS Administration** app will be automatically created. The account used to consent the app must have the Verified Admin privileges. The **Group/Team Policy** has been updated to the **Group/Team/Community Policy** and allows you to customize rules to automatically manage Yammer communities. The **Create Group/Team** service has been updated to the **Create Group/Team/Community** service. Business users can request to create a Yammer community. The **Change Group/Team Settings** service has been updated to the **Change Group/Team/Community Settings** service. Business users can request to change Yammer community settings. The **Group/Team Lifecycle Management** service has been updated to the **Group/Team/Community Lifecycle Management** service. Business users can request to manage the lifecycle of a Yammer community. The IT administrator can view and manage Yammer communities in the **Team, Group, and Community Report**. AvePoint Cloud Governance now supports the renewal of Yammer communities. Business users can periodically review and update community contacts, permissions, metadata, and membership in renewal tasks. Business users can now view and manage Yammer communities in **Workspaces** in the Cloud Governance Portal. The IT administrator can now import existing Yammer communities in **Settings** > **Import Exiting Microsoft 365 Objects**.

The following features are now available in the Cloud Governance Portal:

Users can now change the theme color of the portal by configuring **Theme** in **Personal settings**. In the **Workspaces** report, users can now filter and sort workspaces by the **Primary contact** column. When configuring a hub, users can now filter workspaces by the new filter rule **Active in** **last_days**. There is now a new default hub - **Recent workspaces**. This hub requires an additional Microsoft Graph API permission - **Reports.Read.All**. Cloud Governance administrators need to re-authorize the AvePoint MyHub app in the new Cloud Governance admin center > **MyHub** **settings** > **App profile management**. Users can view and manage the recently active Microsoft 365 workspaces in this hub. By default, the **Recent workspaces** hub shows all types of workspaces that had activities over the last 30 days. In a hub, users can click a workspace name to view workspace details. On the workspace **Overview** page, for different workspace types, the links next to the workspace names now take users to different resources. - Team – The **General** channel of the current team in Microsoft Teams. - Group – The current group conversations in Outlook. - Community – The Yammer home feed. - Site – The current site in SharePoint. In a hub, users can click a workspace name to view workspace details on the **Overview** page. If there is only one owner in a group/team or one admin in a community, the **Demote to a member** option is now unavailable.

The IT administrator can now configure the Lookup to SharePoint library/list metadata to look up metadata values from a SharePoint library or list.

The IT administrator can now connect Cloud Governance with Microsoft Power BI to view Cloud Governance data in the report generated using Power BI. For detailed instructions and the download address of a pre-defined template file, see the AvePoint Cloud Governance Administrator Guide.

AvePoint Cloud Governance can now show the (Guest) tag after a guest user's display name. Note that the tag will not be shown in the classic user interface for end users, such as the request form in the classic user interface. For services, requests, and tasks that were created or generated before September 6, 2020, the tag will not be shown.

AvePoint Cloud Governance now use the Microsoft Graph endpoint for Impact Level 4 for Microsoft 365 US Government GCC High data. Additionally, the new Microsoft Graph endpoint for DoD Impact Level 5 is also used by Cloud Governance for Microsoft 365 US Government DoD data.
