#What's New in the Modern Cloud Governance Admin Center?

• Dynamic Service Updates:

  • Added the Change library settings service, enabling business users to update library names and descriptions.

  • When configuring the Change site settings service > Change site sharing settings, IT administrators can now limit the domains that business users can request for external sharing of sites or only allow business users to edit an existing domain allowlist or blocklist.

  • When configuring the Site collection lifecycle management service, IT administrators can now allow business users to archive the site collection via the service requests.

  • The following built-in actions are now available to be added in a Create library service or Change library settings service: add columns to the library, library record declaration settings, and set column default value.

  • The following built-in actions are now available to be added in a Create site collection service: activate features, add site columns, and publish site columns to libraries or lists.

• Requiring the task assignee to assign a secondary contact is now configurable in renewal profiles > contact renewal for more object types including the guest user, Microsoft Entra group, shared mailbox, Power App, Power Automate flow, Power BI workspace, Power Platform environment.

• IT administrators with an available subscription for AvePoint Opus can now perform the following site collection archiving actions or configurations:

  • Archive site collections in the Workspace report.

  • Choose Archive the site collection as the escalation action when configuring automated escalation profiles for site collections.

  • Choose to Allow the renewal task assignee to archive a site collection when configuring renewal profiles for site collections.

  • Choose to Allow requesters to archive the site collection when configuring the Site collection lifecycle management service.

• When configuring escalation profiles, people in the newly supported $Current task assignee role can now be notified when an escalation action is executed.

• When configuring escalation profiles for Power BI workspaces, restricting access is now available as an escalation action. If workspace management tasks are overdue for the defined period, access to the workspace will be restricted as escalation.

• Power BI workspace limit access profiles can now be configured to define how workspace membership is managed when access to workspaces is restricted.

• The group contact membership management has been refined. IT administrators can now configure the contact membership for Microsoft 365 Groups and Microsoft Entra groups separately.

• Contact membership can now be managed for Power BI workspaces.

• The workspace hold status is now visible in the Workspace report.

• IT administrators can now choose to display private Microsoft 365 Groups, communities, and sites to users who are not members, owners, or admins when configuring shared hubs in Hub settings > Shared hub management.

• The user property metadata which get value from your organization’s custom user properties imported into AvePoint Online Services can now be configured. This new metadata type enhances organizational context reporting for objects managed by Cloud Governance.

• Triggering a contact election task when there is no secondary contact is now supported in contact election profiles additional object types including the Power Automate flow, Power App, Power BI workspace, Power Platform environment, guest user, Microsoft Entra group, and shared mailbox.

• IT administrators can now select a people picker filter profile applied in contact election tasks when configuring the contact election profiles for the following object types: environment, Microsoft Entra group, Power App, Power Automate flow, Power BI workspace, and shared mailbox.

• An automated contact election process can now be triggered by custom conditions leveraging your custom user properties, to ensure accurate and active contacts for objects managed by Cloud Governance.

• Users who are primary or secondary contacts with an invalid status will be tagged as Invalid.

• Some Cloud Governance contact election related terminologies have been updated, which may affect your existing terminology mappings. For details on these changes, refer to the following table:

#What's New in the End User Portal?

• New MyHub Experience Updates:

  • The MyHub preview (New MyHub) experience is now generally available.

  • Space contacts assigned in Cloud Governance can now view and manage space risks detected by Insights for Microsoft 365 using the new MyHub experience.

  • Dynamic service requests and the OneDrive assessment experience are now responsive and optimized for mobile devices.
