AvePoint Cloud Governance November 2019

    Release Date: November 17, 2019

    - The **Preferred End User** **Interface** tile has been removed from **Settings**. Note that if your tenant is using the **Japan West (Osaka)** data center, the **Preferred End User** **Interface** tile will still be available. - When your Office 365 tenant has the **Multi-Geo Capabilities in Office 365** service plan, the IT administrator can now enable site collection provisioning in multi-geo locations in a Create Site Collection service and enable group team site provisioning in multi-geo locations in a Create Group/Team service. New site collections and group team sites for new Office 365 Groups/Microsoft Teams will be created in different geo locations. The IT administrator can configure a geo location scope that requesters can choose geo locations from, or choose to assign the geo location according to the preferred data location property of the requester, primary site collection contact, or primary group/team contact. - In a renewal profile, the IT administrator can now choose whether to allow the renewal task assignee to manage the lifecycle of the workspace (site collection, Office 365 Group, or Microsoft Team) within the task. The IT administrator can allow the task assignee to archive the site collection, delete the site collection, archive the team, or delete the group/team. When a renewal task assignee is renewing a site collection, group, or team, the user will be asked to confirm whether the workspace is still required. If the workspace is no longer required, the user can choose to archive or delete the site collection, archive the team, or delete the group/team. The archiving task or deletion task will follow the approval process set in the site collection policy or group/team policy. - In an automatic import profile for Office 365 Groups/Microsoft Teams, there is now a **Keep group team site quota during the import process** option. If the IT administrator does not choose to keep the group team site quota, the quota set in the group/team policy will replace the group team site’s original quota. In the exported Office 365 Groups or Microsoft Teams template file that is exported from **Import Existing Office 365 Objects** > **Export Mode**, there is now a **Keep Group Team Site Quota** column. If the IT administrator does not want to keep group team site quota, the IT administrator can select **No** as the column value, and the quota set in the group/team policy will replace the group team site’s original quota. - In a site collection policy, the IT administrator can now choose to **Send access requests to the site** **owners** **group**, as well as define a custom message that will be shown on the access request page. - In a site collection policy, the IT administrator can now select the **$Primary Site Collection Administrator** variable role as the recipient of the site collection quota threshold warning notification e-mail. - In the **Team and Group Report**, the default filter condition for **Created Time** has been changed from **This Month** to **All Dates**. This change only takes effect for users who did not generate the report before. They can reset the filter to make the change take effect. One more condition **Last _ Day(s)/Week(s)/Month(s)** for **Created Time** is newly added.
