#What's New in the Modern Cloud Governance Admin Center?

• Dynamic Service Updates:

  • Added the Create Viva Engage community service – Business users can request to create a Viva Engage community via this service.

  • When configuring the Change contact service, IT administrators now have the option to Hide this field from the request page if only one object type is selected in the scope.

  • Change metadata service

    • The following object types are now available: room mailbox, equipment mailbox, guest user, Microsoft 365 user, and Viva Engage community.

    • IT administrators can now specify the Requester Is Manager of user and Requester Is Manager of guest user conditions to enable request submissions based on the requester’s role.

    • The service can now inherit from the following previously added services: Change resource mailbox permission, Manage Microsoft 365 licenses, and Change Microsoft 365 user settings.

• Private Preview: OneDrive renewal profiles can now be configured.

• IT administrators can now allow renewal task assignees to delete unique permissions during the renewal processes of Microsoft 365 Groups, site collections, teams, and communities.

• When sensitivity label integration is enabled for tenants, the external sharing and privacy settings of site collections, teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, and Viva Engage communities in service requests and renewal profiles can now be configured.

• Only active users are now counted when determining if the required minimum number of object owners is met during the renewal process.

• When creating a generic approval process, IT administrators can now enter property values of up to 5000 characters if they choose to automatically approve the approval stage within the Microsoft Entra property condition.

• When configuring guest user renewal profiles, IT administrators can now determine whether to allow renewal task assignees to review guest user access to site collections.

• When configuring automatic import profiles for Power BI workspaces in Management > Profiles & templates > Automatic import profiles, IT administrators can now choose from the following automatic import methods to confirm the governance details of imported Power BI workspaces:

  • Predefine governance details

  • Require end user confirmation

• Viva Engage community automatic import profiles can now be configured to discover and automatically import new Viva Engage communities on a defined schedule.

• AvePoint Online Services containers can now be configured as the scope in guest user automatic import profiles, enabling the import of specific guest user sets.

• IT administrators can now choose whether to retain the existing site storage limit if a storage limit has already been set for the workspace. This applies to:

  • Editing storage management profiles for Microsoft 365 Groups, site collections, teams, and Viva Engage communities.

  • Applying storage management profiles to Microsoft 365 Groups, site collections, teams, and Viva Engage communities.

  • Configuring team automatic import profiles.

• When configuring escalation profiles for Power Apps and Power Automate flows, IT administrators can now configure it to remove all owners if the escalation action is Quarantine or deactivate the app or Disable the flow. This prevents the previous owners from restoring the app or flow after escalation without completing the pending tasks.

• The Auto-generated task report is now available under Directory in the modern admin center, where all tasks automatically generated by the system are listed.

#What's New in the End User Portal?

• Unique permissions can now be deleted during the SharePoint permission renewal process for site collections, Microsoft 365 Groups, teams, and communities, provided that IT administrators allow it.

• Private Preview: Renewal task assignees can now complete OneDrive renewal tasks in MyHub (Preview) > OneDrive assessment where they can review and manage risky items and sharing status of OneDrives.

• Private Preview: Updates to MyHub (preview):

  • MyHub (Preview) now supports additional languages, including Japanese, German, Chinese, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, and Dutch.

  • Risks in users’ OneDrive can now be reviewed and managed through OneDrive assessment.

  • Personal settings are now available, allowing users to configure the theme, time zone, and language in MyHub (Preview). Users can access these settings via the Settings button in the upper-right corner of the MyHub (Preview) interface.

  • The statistics for groups/teams/sites with high risk files are now clickable, enabling end users to drill down into details on the Dashboard page.

  • Users can now view permission details and remove shadow users and groups through Spaces > Shadow user/groups.

  • Additional actions for tasks are now available on the Tasks & to-dos page.

  • Filters within MyHub (Preview) have been enhanced for a better user experience.

  • Views in MyHub (Preview) can now be renamed.

  • OneDrive items awaiting disposal can now be reviewed in a folder structure.

  • Service requests are now responsive and optimized for mobile devices.
