#What's New in the Modern Cloud Governance Admin Center?

• Microsoft 365 Group and site collection automatic import profiles can now be configured to discover and automatically import new Microsoft 365 Groups or SharePoint site collections in a defined schedule.

• When configuring the team, group, and site collection contact election profiles, IT administrators can now choose to trigger a contact election task when there is no secondary contact.

• When configuring renewal profiles for teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, and site collections, IT administrators can now configure to use the user based view in the permission renewal process. With this configuration, business users can review and change unique SharePoint permissions for users and groups.

• When configuring renewal profiles for guest users, Microsoft Entra groups, shared mailboxes, Power Apps, Power Platform environments, Power Automate flows, or Power BI workspaces, IT administrators can now configure a renewal guidance profile for different information renewal to guide renewal task assignees.

• When configuring renewal profiles for teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, and site collection, IT administrators can now configure to notify the task assignees when the renewal task is submitted by another assignee.

• When configuring renewal profiles for teams, IT administrators can now configure to notify the assignees when the private or shared channel renewal task is assigned.

• The guest user renewal process offers an enhanced renewal experience, ensuring consistency across all objects Cloud Governance supports.

• The following dynamic service updates are now available under Management > Dynamic services.

  • Create equipment mailbox service. Business users can request to create an equipment mailbox via this service.

  • Create room mailbox service. Business users can request to create a room mailbox via this service.

  • Create shared channel service. Business users can request to create a shared channel for a team via this service.

  • Change shared channel settings service. Business users can request to change the shared channel name, description, owners, members, and shared channel site storage via this service.

  • Change site collection profiles service. Business users can request to change the site collection contact election profile, external sharing profile, renewal profile, and storage management profile via this service.

  • Change metadata service. Business users can request to change metadata values, add metadata, or remove metadata of distribution groups, security groups, mail-enabled security groups, shared mailboxes, and Power Apps via this service.

  • Manage Microsoft 365 licenses service. Business users can request to change Microsoft 365 licenses and apps or assign a defined set of Microsoft 365 licenses and apps to Microsoft 365 users via this service.

  • When configuring the Change site settings service, you can now configure the site storage amount that business users can request to increase in a single request.

  • When configuring the Create team service, you can now configure the construction rules for the group team site address.

• When configuring the generic approval process, IT administrators can now configure the $New object metadata ("Metadata name") role as To/Cc/Bcc in notifications.

• IT administrators can now configure shared channel settings in Settings > System settings > Channel settings to choose whether to allow shared channels to follow the external sharing settings, access settings, or site storage of policies or profiles applied to their parent teams.

• The Object creator reference is now supported in the Renewal assignment email notification.

The object creator information is now included in the Object list reference of the Confirm governance details task assignment email notification.

• IT administrators can now apply the external sharing profile/storage management profile/contact election profile/renewal profile to teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, or site collections via APIs.

• IT administrators can now approve, reject, or delete all selected filtered requests when handling the requests in Request report.

• The built-in onPremisesExtensionAttributes property can now be referenced as a variable role when IT administrators configure the Microsoft Entra property metadata.

#What's New in the End User Portal?

• The guest user renewal process offers an enhanced renewal experience.

• When renewing site collections, teams, and Microsoft 365 Groups, renewal task assignees can review either the SharePoint top-level site permissions and unique permissions on objects, or the unique SharePoint permissions for users and groups based on the renewal mode defined by the IT administrator.

• When there are pending channel renewal tasks, renewal task assignees of both teams and their channels can now click Go to task in the Channel renewal task window to access the channel renewal tasks.

• A new experience has been provided for confirming governance details of newly imported site collections and Microsoft 365 Groups.

• The confirm details button on renewal and confirm governance details overview pages has been optimized. Buttons on contact renewal/confirmation pages have been optimized.

• Business users can now start a request for an object on the Workspace page even if there is an ongoing renewal task for it.

• On the requests page, when business users hover the mouse over the display name of a user/group, the email address is now displayed to help distinguish among the users/groups with the same display name.
