AvePoint Cloud Governance March 2019

    Release Date: March 24, 2019

    - You can now use AvePoint Cloud Governance group/team policy to manage **External Sharing** settings for Office 365 Groups/Microsoft Teams and group team sites. - The new metadata type **Azure Active Directory Property** has been added. A user’s property value stored in Azure Active Directory can be retrieved as the metadata value. - The **Manage Permissions** service has been added. Business users can manage user/group permissions and manage SharePoint groups via Manage Permissions service requests. - There is now a new portal with a modern interface for end users to manage their tasks, submit new requests, and view workspaces they own. The portal is an application that can be added via the Office 365 custom tile feature. - When using the **Mail All Contacts** feature in the **Site Collection Report**, you may see a pop-up window if the total length of your contact e-mail addresses exceeds the character limit of your web browser. You can click **Copy All** in the pop-up window to copy all e-mail addresses to your clipboard. Then, open your e-mail application and paste the copied e-mail addresses to the recipient box. - AvePoint Cloud Governance can now lock a site collection in read-only mode via SharePoint Online Client API. You no longer need to create a site policy in SharePoint Online. Note that if your SharePoint environment already has the **Governance Automation Lock** **As** **Read Only** site policy, do not delete this policy. The policy will still be used when your users want to unlock locked site collections. - There is now the option to **Extend lease based on the request approved time** when configuring a site collection policy. The approved date of the site collection lease extension request can be used as the new lease start date. - If you select a variable role in the **Get user profile from Office 365 user** field in the **Additional Column Settings** of **User Profile Property** metadata, the user that acts as the role may change; You can now enable the **Automatically update the stored** **metadata value if the variable role used to define the value is changed** option. If there are any user role changes, the value of the **User Profile Property** metadata will be automatically updated. Note that this change only takes effect on **User Profile Property** metadata that is created on or after January 25, 2019. For **User Profile Property** metadata created before January 25, 2019, AvePoint Cloud Governance will support automatically updating the metadata in a future release; In **Settings** > **Timer Service Configuration Management**, there is now a new job: **User Profile Property Metadata – Variable Role Synchronization Job**. - There is now a search box in **Settings**. You can search for a specific setting by the setting name or description.
