General Updates

  • As Azure Active Directory is being renamed to Microsoft Entra ID, the related descriptions and messages in AvePoint Online Services have been updated.

  • If your organization has a working subscription for Fly and wants to perform Exchange On-Premises migrations from the SherWeb service provider, you can now configure related service account profiles in AvePoint Online Services > Management > Service account > On-premises service account.

  • If your organization has a working subscription for Cloud Archiving, Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365, or AvePoint Opus, and the ReCenter portal is available to your organization’s end-users, in AvePoint Online Services > Administration > General settings, you can now configure Logo customization and Terminology mappings to apply the custom logo and custom terminologies to the ReCenter portal.

AvePoint App API Permissions Updates

  • The Cloud Governance for Power Platform service app has been updated to add the Tenant.ReadWrite.All and Workspace.ReadWrite.All Power BI Service permissions to support managing Power BI workspaces. If your organization has configured an app profile for this service app, go to AvePoint Online Services > Management > App management to re-authorize the app profile to add the new API permissions to the app.

  • The Policies for Microsoft 365 service app has been updated to add the ChannelMember.ReadWrite.All Microsoft Graph permission to support adding and removing members in Teams channels. If your organization has configured an app profile for this service app, go to AvePoint Online Services > Management > App management to re-authorize the app profile to add the new API permissions to the app.

  • The Cloud Backup for Azure service app has been updated to add the BitLockerKey.Read.All Microsoft Graph permission to support retrieving the BitLocker keys for all devices in your Microsoft tenant. If your organization has configured an app profile for this service app, go to AvePoint Online Services > Management > App management to re-authorize the app profile to add the new API permissions to the app.

  • The Cloud Backup for AWS service app has been updated to add the elasticloadbalancing:\DescribeLoadBalancers and elasticloadbalancing:RegisterInstancesWithLoadBalancer AWS Elastic Load Balancing APIs to support load balancing in your AWS tenant. If your organization has configured an app profile for this service app, go to AvePoint Online Services > Management > App management to re-authorize the app profile to add the new API permissions to the app.

What’s New in Auto Discovery?

  • In Auto discovery > Scan profiles, if you turn on the Enable daily scan option for a scan profile, you can now customize the start time of the daily scan job.

  • In Auto discovery > Containers, you can now rename custom containers.

  • In Auto discovery, the scan profiles for Power App can now scan Model-driven apps.

  • In Auto discovery > Scan profiles, when you configure an advanced mode scan profile for Power Apps or Power Automate objects, with the Specified objects in one container rule set for each object type, you can now customize the following criteria:
