General Updates

  • The following data centers are newly supported:

    • South Africa North (Johannesburg) – The following services are available in this data center:

      • Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 (including Cloud Backup Express and ReCenter)

      • Opus

    • Qatar Central (Doha) – The following services are available in this data center:

      • Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 (including Cloud Backup Express and ReCenter)

      • Cloud Backup for IaaS + PaaS

      • Opus

  • Fly is now available in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) data center.

  • Cloud Backup for Salesforce ®, ReCenter (for Microsoft 365), and ReCenter for (Google Workspace) are now available in the GCP for East US (Moncks Corner) data center.

  • The Quick start wizard has been redesigned to simplify Confidence Platform onboarding. Accessible from the left navigation pane, the new wizard serves as a centralized hub for completing your organization’s initial setup quickly and efficiently.

  • Tenant owners can now submit account deletion requests directly through the Invite support interface, streamlining the account deletion process and improving communication efficiency.

What’s New in Command Centers?

  • Organization with services that provide dashboards in Command Centers can now create and manage custom dashboards in the My dashboards section. When creating a new dashboard, you can add widgets from various categories to meet your organization’s needs. Once created, dashboards can be managed with actions such as Rename, Favorite, Set as default, and Duplicate.

  • A new Workspace growth report is now available at the bottom of the Operational Efficiency dashboard. This report tracks workspace growth over the past six months, including total, managed, and deleted workspaces. Total workspaces and managed workspaces are collected from AvePoint Online Services, and deleted workspaces are collected from Control Suite products (including Cloud Governance, Policies for Microsoft 365, EnPower, and MyHub).

The Workspace growth report will begin collecting data on total and managed workspaces starting from October. Additionally, it will start tracking deleted workspaces from December. Please note that no data will be available for this report prior to October 2025.

  • Private Preview: The AgentPulse Command Center provides an overview of AI agent activity across your organization, tracking usage patterns, engagement levels, and key performance metrics.

What’s New in App Management?

  • The Cense service app now includes the IdentityRiskyUser.Read.All Microsoft Graph application permission to access and evaluate license usage and activities for holders of the Microsoft Entra ID P2 licenses.

  • The MyHub service app now includes the Community.Read.All Microsoft Graph application permission for direct Viva Engage community access within space detail reports.

If your organization uses app profiles for any of the service apps, navigate to AvePoint Online Services > Management > App management to re-authorize the app profile. This will apply the new API permissions and enable access to the related features.

*Note: Reauthorization is only required if you want to use the new features. Existing functionalities will remain unaffected if no action is taken.

What’s New in Auto Discovery?

  • In Auto discovery > Scan profiles, when configuring an advanced mode scan profile with the Specified objects in one container rule selected for containers, you can now set conditions to filter Exchange mailbox and Microsoft 365 Group / Microsoft Team / Viva Engage community objects based on the following criteria:

    • Exchange mailbox

      • Cloud Governance metadata
    • Microsoft 365 Group / Microsoft Team / Viva Engage community

      • Group / Team / Viva Engage community property > Owner > Usage location
  • To scan Microsoft 365 Group / Microsoft Team / Viva Engage community objects with the Group / Team / Viva Engage community property > Custom attribute rule, the Exchange Administrator role must be assigned to the related apps in your environment. For more information, refer to How to Assign the Exchange Administrator Role to an App?

  • Organizations with an Insights (for Microsoft 365) subscription can now configure scan profiles to scan Copilot Studio, SharePoint agent, and Azure AI Foundry objects.

What’s New in Administration?

  • Organizations that have implemented the MFA policy for local accounts under Administration > Security can now enable/disable MFA for local users by navigating to Management > User management. Select the relevant local users, confirm their status is Activated, and click Enable MFA / Disable MFA.

    • If you select local users with MFA disabled and click Enable MFA, those users will be prompted to configure MFA the next time they sign in to AvePoint Online Services.

    • If you select local users with MFA enabled and click Disable MFA, those users will no longer need to configure MFA when signing in to AvePoint Online Services.

  • Organizations with trial subscriptions can now download reserved IP addresses by navigating to Administration > Security in AvePoint Online Services.

  • Service administrators and customized administrators with the Administration permission assigned can now control Ava access. You can navigate to Administration > Ava (AI assistant) to enable/disable Ava for all users in your tenant or customize which users/groups can access Ava.

  • Organizations using Insights can now customize email sender information by navigating to Administration > General settings > Email settings.

What’s New in Ava?

  • Administrators can navigate to AvePoint Online Services > Administration > Ava (AI assistant) to control access for Ava.

  • The following languages are now supported by Ava:

    • Chinese

    • Dutch (Netherlands)

    • Italian (Italy)

    • Portuguese (Brazil)

    • Spanish (Spain, international alphabet)

  • Ava now supports audio input and read-aloud features, allowing users to dictate messages and listen to responses with enhanced language and voice settings.

  • Ava now provides the Help panel. In the Ava portal, click your profile icon on the upper-right corner of the page, and then click Help from the drop-down menu for information about Ava’s functionalities and tips for getting the best results.

  • In the Ava portal, the Recent tab is now available on the AvePoint Apps page. The Recent tab displays all services the current user has accessed within the past 30 days.

  • Ava now supports providing smart auto-suggestions relevant to users’ recent chats history and the recommendations based on prompts from AvePoint products.
