The new cloud service License Manager is now available in AvePoint Online Services. It has been deployed to the following data centers:
Australia Southeast (Victoria)
Canada Central (Toronto)
East US (Virginia)
France Central (Paris)
Japan West (Osaka)
North Europe (Ireland)
Southeast Asia (Singapore)
UK South (London)
West Europe (Netherlands)
You can get a 30-day trial license when you sign up for AvePoint Online Services or in the AvePoint Online Services Store. To manage user licenses via License Manager, users who are responsible for license management must first be added as AvePoint Online Services users in User Management > User-based View/Product-based View and assigned different roles for the service. Users with different roles can perform different actions in the service. Then, in Group-based View, you can add these users to groups and assign them user containers to manage.
If your organization has the license for License Manager, in Auto Discovery > Containers > Microsoft 365 Users, you can now manually import Microsoft 365 users in batch to your desired containers. If some users you imported are already in other containers, they will all be moved to the selected container. Additionally, the imported users will be excluded from the future Auto Discovery scan jobs.
You can now create a Yammer app profile by using a custom Yammer app that is registered in your Yammer network.
If your Microsoft 365 tenant is in the Microsoft 365 GCC or GCC High environment, it cannot be registered to the AvePoint Online Services commercial environment via a service account profile or app profile. When you try to register the Microsoft 365 tenant to the commercial environment, there is now a message reminding you that you are registering to the wrong environment. You can refer to the user guide to see what environment you should use.
The object type Microsoft 365 Group & Microsoft Team in Auto Discovery has been updated to Microsoft 365 Group/Microsoft Team/Yammer Community. When your Yammer network is in Native Mode for Microsoft 365, Microsoft 365-connected Yammer groups can now be scanned as Yammer communities.
If your tenant has Multi-Geo Capabilities in AvePoint Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service and the Data Center Mappings has never been configured, all your organization's backup data is stored in the central AOS location.
When you configure the Data Center Mappings for the first time, you can Map Microsoft 365 geo locations to the central AOS location and select geo locations. The selected geo locations will be mapped to the central location and the rest of the geo locations will be automatically mapped to other AvePoint data centers. If you disable the option, all geo locations will be mapped to different AvePoint data centers.
