General Updates

  • You can now click the chatbot (Icon: chat) icon to chat with AvePoint’s virtual assistant. This chatbot feature is currently in preview.

  • The tyGraph service is now available in AvePoint Online Services. To start a trial for this service, navigate to Home > Store, and on the tyGraph tile, click Start trial.

  • When you merge your local account with your federated Microsoft 365, Salesforce, or Google account, you can now choose to use Microsoft/Salesforce/Google as the only sign-in method for this account.

  • The Cloud Archiving service is no longer available in the trial scope of AvePoint cloud services. The Cloud Index service now only supports starting a trial for customers using the AvePoint Online Services commercial production environment in the Japan West (Osaka) data center.

  • Cloud Backup for Salesforce and Cloud Insights are now included in the reserved IP addresses list downloaded from Administration > Security.

  • In Administration > Security, when you configure the Trusted IP address settings, it is now required to add your current IP address to the Trusted IP address range to ensure your next login is successful.

What’s New in App Management?

  • If your organization uses Insights for Microsoft 365 and wants to manage Power BI objects, you can now configure an app profile of the Insights for Power Platform type in App management. With this app profile configured, you can go to Auto discovery to configure a scan profile and scan Power BI objects that will be used by Insights for Microsoft 365.

  • If your organization uses the tyGraph service, in App management > Modern mode, you can now configure the following app profiles: tyGraph, tyGraph for Viva Engage, and tyGraph for SharePoint.

  • If your organization’s subscription to EnPower has included the Microsoft Entra Application Management module, you can now go to App management to configure an app profile of the EnPower for Microsoft Entra Applications type.

What’s New in Auto Discovery?

  • When you configure an advanced mode scan profile for a SharePoint site, in Auto discovery > Scan profiles, with the Specified objects in one container rule selected for containers, you can now set conditions for the Creator > Group membership criterion to filter scanned objects.

  • When you configure an advanced mode scan profile for Power BI, in Auto discovery > Scan profiles, with the Specified objects in one container rule selected for containers, you can now set conditions for the Capacity criterion to filter scanned objects.

  • For organizations that use Cloud Governance, when you configure an advanced mode scan profile for Power Environment, Power Apps, Power Automate, or Power BI objects in Auto discovery > Scan profiles, with the Specified objects in one container rule selected for containers, you can now set conditions for the Cloud Governance custom property: Text criterion to filter scanned objects.
