AvePoint Online Services now supports SSO (Single Sign-on) for all cloud services. When you access a cloud service via the direct URL, you do not need to provide user credentials to sign in once it is detected that you have already signed into another cloud service.
The Cloud Backup for Azure service is now available in the following data centers: Southeast Asia (Singapore), France Central (Paris), Switzerland North (Zurich), and Korea Central (Seoul).
If your organization uses the Cloud Backup for Azure service and wants to get the Azure Resource Manager (ARM) VNet IDs for your data center, you can now go to Advanced Settings > Firewalls and Virtual Networks and click Download ARM VNet IDs.
If your organization wants to use the Fly service to perform Exchange On-Premises migrations, the Tenant Owner and Service Administrators can now navigate to Management > On-premises Service Account to configure on-premises service account profiles. The subscription details of the Exchange On-Premises module can now be displayed in Subscription Information.
If your organization has a working subscription for the Power BI module in the Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service, the subscription details of the Power BI module can now be displayed in Subscription Information.
In Management > Service Account, you can now configure a Microsoft 365 service account profile that contains a Microsoft 365 account with the minimum permissions required by your tenant’s cloud services. You can click the link on the page to open the user guide and view details on the permissions required by cloud services.
You can now invoke the following AvePoint Online Services APIs:
Use the TenantService.GetContainers API to get containers.
Use the TenantService.GetRules API to get rules.
The key for the Microsoft 365 subscription Office 365 (Plan A3) for Students has been updated from ENTERPRISEPACK_STUDENT to ENTERPRISEPACKPLUS_STUDENT. If your Microsoft 365 tenant has the Office 365 (Plan A3) for Students subscription, the number of user seats charged by AvePoint cloud services will be updated accordingly.
If your organization wants to protect Power BI data via the Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service, you can now configure an app profile for a Microsoft delegated app and select the Power BI option to add the required permissions to the app.
If your organization uses the Entrust service, when configuring service apps, you can now configure the Entrust for Power Platform and Entrust for Teams Calling service apps under the Service tab.
If your organization has configured app profiles for Microsoft Delegated App or Salesforce Sandbox App, you can now view the Consent User information on the page displaying details of an app profile.
The following AvePoint apps have been updated to add the API permissions which are newly required by the corresponding cloud services:
The Cloud Backup for Azure service app.
The Microsoft delegated app for the Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service.
The AvePoint Online Services Administration for Office 365 app for the Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service.
If your tenant uses the apps above, you need to reauthorize the apps in AvePoint Online Services > App Management.
In Auto Discovery, when you configure an advanced mode scan profile to scan Exchange Online Mailboxes, you can now set rules for the Property Synced from On-premises criteria.
In Auto Discovery, customers with the following services can now configure scan profiles for managing Power Platform objects:
If your organization has a working subscription for the Entrust service and has configured a Service Account profile / Entrust for Power Platform service app profile to manage Power Platform objects, you can now configure scan profiles to scan Connections and Power BI objects.
If your organization has a working subscription for the Power BI module in the Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service and has configured a Service Account profile / Microsoft delegated app profile to manage Power Platform objects, you can now configure scan profiles to scan Power BI objects.
If your organization uses the Entrust service and has configured the Entrust for Teams Calling service app, note the following:
The Entrust for Teams Calling app cannot be used in scan profiles to scan Group team sites due to inefficient permissions.
If the Entrust for Teams Calling app is used in a scan profile, the Add service account profile as an additional method and Add delegated app profile to protect Microsoft Planner data options are not available.
If your organization uses the Entrust service and has configured scan profiles to scan Power Platform objects, you can now filter Environments and Power Automate via the Type conditions in the following scenarios:
View scan history on the View Scan History page or in the exported scan history report.
View containers.
If your organization uses the Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service, the scan profiles configured for scanning Microsoft Teams can now scan the shared channels in Teams. When configuring a scan profile with the service account authentication method, you can now enable the Automatically add the service account as the owner of shared channels in all scanned Teams setting. By default, this setting is disabled.
