General Updates

  • For organizations that use the AvePoint Online Services U.S. Government environment and have a working subscription for Cloud Archiving/Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365, the ReCenter portal is now available.

  • If your organization uses Cloud Backup for Google Workspace, in AvePoint Online Services > User Management, the Tenant Owner and administrators can now grant the ReCenter (for Google Workspace) permission to Google users/groups. Users and groups with the previous Standard User/Application Administrator permission in Cloud Backup for Google Workspace can now be automatically granted the Standard User permission in ReCenter (for Google Workspace). In AvePoint Online Services, you can now click the ReCenter tile on the Home page to access the portal.

  • If your organization has a working subscription for Cloud Archiving, the ReCenter portal is now available for your organization. In AvePoint Online Services > User Management, the Tenant Owner and administrators can now add Microsoft 365 users/groups and grant them the permission to access ReCenter (for Microsoft 365). With the permission granted, your organization's users can access ReCenter and restore data by themselves.

  • If your tenant has the enterprise subscription for any AvePoint cloud service, in AvePoint Online Services > Advanced Settings > Firewalls and Virtual Networks > Reserved IP Addresses, you can now click Download a List of Reserved IP Addresses to download IP addresses of all data centers. When your organization's users need to access AvePoint Online Services from other data centers, you can now add the corresponding IP addresses to the trusted list in your environment.

  • In Auto Discovery, the Microsoft 365 User object type and Microsoft 365 Users container are now available for all cloud services.

  • In Auto Discovery > Scan Profiles, the job performance of Advanced Mode scan profiles now has been improved.

  • The Cloud Backup for Azure service is now available in the Japan West (Osaka) and US Gov Virginia (Virginia) data centers.

  • At the bottom of the AvePoint Online Services sign-in page, there is now a message regarding cookie consent. After you click Accept & Close, the prompt message will no longer be displayed.

  • The AvePoint Online Services Administration for Azure app has been updated to add the Microsoft Graph API application permission Channel.Delete.All. If your organization uses AvePoint Cloud Governance, this permission is required to delete private channels in Microsoft Teams.

  • The Insights for Microsoft 365 and AvePoint Online Services Administration for Office 365 apps have been updated to add the Microsoft Graph API application permission InformationProtectionPolicy.Read.All. If your organization uses Insights for Microsoft 365, this permission is required to retrieve sensitivity labels from Microsoft 365.

Resolved Known Issue

In Auto Discovery, if you use a scan profile with the app profile authentication method to scan Microsoft 365 objects, the email addresses of contacts can now be excluded from the scan results.
