Microsoft 365 will no longer support Basic Authentication for Remote PowerShell (RPS) in Exchange Online. Due to this change, AvePoint Online Services Auto Discovery no longer uses Exchange Online PowerShell to retrieve Microsoft 365 Group team site URLs. Now Microsoft Graph API is used to retrieve group team site URLs.
If a scan profile was created before September 6, 2020 and the Move objects to other containers when they match the containers’ rules option was disabled, when editing the scan profile, you can select the Move objects to other containers when they match the containers’ rules checkbox and AvePoint Online Services can now record this activity in the User Activity Report.
If you want to use the sensitivity label related features in Insights for Microsoft 365, an additional Microsoft Graph API permission (InformationProtectionPolicy.Read.All) is required. Insights for Microsoft 365 needs to use this permission to retrieve information of published sensitivity labels from Microsoft 365. To add this permission, you need to re-authorize the AvePoint Online Services Administration for Office 365 app or manually add this permission to your custom Azure app and then re-authorize the custom Azure app profile.
Notification related settings have been centralized in Advanced Settings > Notification & E-mail Settings. Under the Notification Settings tab, you can now configure authentication notifications, Auto Discovery notifications, and license notifications in a central place.
You can now control the creation of temporary support accounts for AvePoint Technical Support in Advanced Settings > Security Policy. By default, the temporary account creation is allowed. When the Tenant Owner, Service Administrators, or Application Administrators invite support for assistance, the AvePoint Technical Support team members can use the accounts to access AvePoint Online Services or AvePoint cloud service environments to help resolve the issues. You can also disable temporary accounts if needed.
