Export to PDFEither using the AvePoint default storage or your custom storage, the data retention period can be applied to your backup data to help save your storage costs. Once the backup data reaches the data retention date, it will be deleted from the storage. Administrators can configure the data retention period of an organization.
Note that after updating the data retention period for an organization, if the retention date has already passed, backup data will be retained for an additional 90 days. Email notifications will be sent before deletion.
Complete the following steps to configure the data retention settings:
Navigate to Settings > Storage.
Click Retention. All organizations that you manage are displayed in the panel.
Select a number or select Unlimited to define the retention period of your backup data. The unit is year.
Click Apply to save the configurations.
You can download the retention job report in the Job monitor when the job is finished.
