General Updates

  • Microsoft Delegated app can now be used to protect Planner data.

  • If you have a Microsoft Delegated app for restoring Teams channel conversations as posts, the authentication user of the Microsoft Delegated app will now be automatically deleted from the Team members and private channel members after the restore completes.

  • Added the following error codes to the job report to help with troubleshooting: SP-IRMProtectedFileFailed and SP-SkipBackupRecordingFolder. For details, refer to Error Codes.

  • Alongside AVA, you can now deploy our ReCenter portal, a data recovery center designed to connect end users in your organization to their lost OneDrive for Business and Exchange mailbox content. Through this portal, the end users in your organization can perform data recovery for their own OneDrive for Business and Exchange mailbox content using the backup data generated by Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365.

ReCenter for Microsoft 365

  • ReCenter has been deployed to the following data centers: Australia Southeast (Victoria), Canada Central (Toronto), East US (Virginia), France Central (Paris), Germany West Central (Frankfurt), Japan West (Osaka), Korea Central (Seoul), North Europe (Ireland), Southeast Asia (Singapore), Switzerland North (Zurich), UK South (London), and West Europe (Netherlands).

  • ReCenter has been deployed to the AvePoint Online Services commercial production environment.

  • ReCenter supports all browser versions required by the Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service.

  • ReCenter supports the following languages: English and Japanese.

  • Users can now access ReCenter via the following methods:

    • After the administrator adds ReCenter portal custom tile to the app launcher in Microsoft 365, users can find the app in App launcher and click the app to access ReCenter.

    • Users can sign in to AvePoint Online Services with their Microsoft 365 accounts, and click ReCenter in the All Apps or My Favorite Apps view to access ReCenter.

  • In ReCenter > Data recovery, you can select the Exchange Online or OneDrive for Business object type to search for backup data and run restore jobs.

  • In ReCenter, when you search for backup data to restore, you can use the Advanced search to narrow your search with additional conditions.

  • In ReCenter > Data recovery, after you select an object type to restore, you can enter keywords in the search box to search for backup data.

  • In AvePoint Online Services > User Management, you can now allow Microsoft 365 users and Microsoft 365 Groups to access ReCenter with the Standard User or Application Administrator permission.

  • The announcement related to ReCenter has been published in AvePoint Online Services.

  • In ReCenter, you can click the question mark button on the top bar to access the user guide.

  • In ReCenter, you can preview an email before the restoration if the backup data is stored in the cool tier on the AvePoint default storage or your own Microsoft Azure Blob Storage.

  • In ReCenter > Data recovery, to search for backup data of OneDrive for Business, you can search by keywords of a document name or folder name, or search by folder location.

  • In ReCenter > Data recovery, to search for backup data of Exchange Online, you can search by subject, folder, sender, and date.

  • In ReCenter > Request history, you can view details of the jobs that you performed.

  • In ReCenter, you can search the OneDrive for Business backup data and restore the data to its original location.

  • In ReCenter, you can search Exchange Online backup data and restore the data to its original location.

  • ReCenter follows the session timeout settings configured in AvePoint Online Services.

  • To allow users to access the ReCenter portal, ensure your organization has accepted the license agreement of the Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 service.
