General Updates

  • SSO (Single Sign-on) is now supported. When you access Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 via the direct URL, you do not need to provide user credentials to sign in once it is detected that you have signed into AvePoint Online Services.

  • On the End-User Restore Settings page of Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 interface, you can choose whether to allow the ReCenter or AVA users to restore backup data stored at the archive tier of Azure Blob storage.

  • To avoid any accidental deletion of backup data, you can contact AvePoint Support to disable the GDPR-related features (Data Subject Access Requests and the Manually Delete Backup Data function) for your tenant.

  • Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 for Yammer service now supports restoring backup data that is stored in the archive tier.

ReCenter for Microsoft 365

  • If your organization uses the AvePoint Online Services U.S. Government environment and has a working subscription for Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365, the ReCenter portal can now be available.

  • If your administrator of Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 has enabled the restore of backup data from the archive tier for end users, the end users of ReCenter can search and restore the backup data that are stored at the archive tier. If that option is disabled by your administrator, the end-user restore restoring backup data from the archive tier will fail. You can contact your administrator to download the job report for more details.
