#AvePoint Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 January 2021

• As Microsoft published information on an upcoming update to the Microsoft Graph API permissions required to manage Teams private channels and general metadata, AvePoint will update the required app profile permissions to ensure we can keep protecting this data as these changes are implemented by Microsoft. Please re-authorize your app profile through AvePoint Online Services platform or update the permissions of your custom app in your Azure Active Directory.

• The mailbox size displayed in the License Consumption Report of Cloud Backup for Microsoft 365 is from Cloud Insights. Cloud Insights now supports using Graph API to count the mailbox size.

• Project Online restore jobs now support choosing whether to restore PWA settings.

• Restore jobs for Microsoft 365 Groups or Teams now support restoring the latest file attachments of Planner tasks. By default, the restore job restores the Planner task’s attachment link to the target. If you want to restore the latest files in the attachment of the Planner tasks, contact the AvePoint Support team for assistance.

• As Microsoft updated about the 2 GB file size limit of OneNote notebooks, the backup job will skip the OneNote files that are larger than 2 GB.

• [AOS Multi-Geo] The United Arab Emirates (ARE) and South Africa (ZAF) will be automatically mapped to North Europe (Ireland) data center.

• You can now go to General Settings > Backup Settings to choose whether to back up the Recordings folder (found in the path: OneDrive for Business/Recordings or Teams channel site/Documents/Recordings) that stores the Teams meeting recordings.

• We are currently testing the use of Migration API in this release for improving the speed of large-scale data recoveries for SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business. If you are interested in, contact AvePoint Support team to help you enable this feature.

• Optimized the backend logic of backup jobs to save time.

• The Project Online service supports the backup and restore for PWA Settings > Project Details page.
