The left navigation pane in Opus has been optimized with the following key changes:
The Management section has been added, including Terms and rules, Content sources, Physical records, and Maestro AI.
The Remediation section has been added, including Search, My tasks, and Restore center.
The Activity section has been added, including Report center, Download center, and Job monitor.
The System section has been added, including System auditor (renamed from Administrator audit), Settings, and Help.
Opus now supports French.
Opus has updated APIs for better user experience, stability, and easier integration.
Opus no longer supports creating stub templates of the ASPX type, and recommends changing to other file types such as TXT, HTML, and Restore link for the existing stub templates to ensure better compatibility and performance.
The related records app has been rebuilt to accommodate the retirement of SharePoint add-ins scheduled for April 2, 2026.
A new content source, Box, is now available, for effective management and classification of content stored in Box locations.
Public Preview: A new content source, Google Drive, is now available, for effective management and classification of content stored in Google Drives.
If your subscription for AvePoint Opus includes Google Workspace and you are using Cloud Archiving for data management, you need to migrate from Cloud Archiving to AvePoint Opus to enable information lifecycle management for Google Drive. You can contact AvePoint’s support team for further assistance.
Opus now supports Google Cloud Storage as a storage type.
You can now export SharePoint Online or OneDrive content in a digital preservation format to a SharePoint Online library.
You can now choose to include declared records when defining the rule action to archive and destroy content.
You can now enable soft delete when configuring retention periods for archived data in storage locations. Data in soft delete can be restored anytime during the soft delete retention period, preventing accidental data loss.
You can now delete orphaned data from storage locations generated by failed jobs during archiving.
You can now import template suites to Opus for physical records management.
When you change the order of a column in a template, Opus will now push down one level of the existing fields instead of switching the positions of these two columns.
You can now create security groups to limit the permissions that users/groups have for Restore center, including Full control, Search and export results, and Search only.
Restore center now supports exporting and importing site mappings to allow bulk changes.
New navigation updates are being rolled out across the Confidence Platform, delivering a more intuitive, consistent, and efficient user experience. In the left navigation pane of ReCenter, a new System section has been added, and the Help link to the user guide has been relocated to this section.
For Exchange Online and OneDrive, you can now use the Tree mode to easily navigate and locate the data you wish to restore in ReCenter.
