As part of the retirement of Exchange Web Services (EWS) in Exchange Online, Microsoft will start to block EWS access for all mailboxes without license rights to EWS. The impacted licenses are:
Exchange Online Kiosk
Microsoft 365 and Office 365 F1
Microsoft 365 and Office 365 F3
To ensure a seamless transition, we will automatically use the Microsoft Exchange Graph API for all mailboxes (of all license types) when any affected license is detected. Due to limitations of the Exchange Graph API, we will not enable Graph API for archive mailboxes at the moment. Additionally, the first backup job after the transition may take longer.
To meet compliance requirements and prevent the deletion of backup data, you can contact AvePoint Support to disable the Remove unprotected data feature.
Job reports now include object-level details by default, alongside top-level details for restore and export jobs.
Full-text search for the Content field in Backup data e-discovery now extends to the email Subject and Document name.
The AvePoint Graph Modern API now supports automated restore operations for file-level and folder-level recovery across SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
