Download this articleWhen needed, you can choose to ignore the violations of certain objects they are intentionally allowed in your environment by adding them to the allow list. This functionality gives you flexibility to balance security compliance with business needs.
Once the violation’s related out-of-policy object, they will be excluded from the corresponding’s policy’s monitoring scope and will not trigger any configured operation anymore.
To add an entire workspace to the allow list, complete the following steps:
On the Violation details page, click Add to allow list in the upper-right corner.
In the Add to allow list window, set an expiration date for the allow list entry. This defines whether the object will be permanently in the allow list or the allow list entry will expire after a certain period.
To permanently add the object to the allow list, select Never expire.
To configure an expiration date, select Specific date and configure a date. After this date, the object will be included in the policy’s monitoring scope again.
Click Save.
To certain out-of-policy objects within the workspace to the allow list, complete the following steps:
On the Violation details page, select the objects in the Objects section and then click Add to allow list above the object table.
In the Add to allow list window, set an expiration date for the allow list entry. This defines whether the object will be permanently in the allow list or the allow list entry will expire after a certain period.
To permanently add the object to the allow list, select Never expire.
To configure an expiration date, select Specific date and configure a date. After this date, the object will be included in the policy’s monitoring scope again.
Click Save.
