General Updates

  • You can now use an app profile to support Exchange mailbox related rules. Therefore, a service account profile will no longer be required.

  • You can now configure schedule settings to generate the summary report of a policy regularly and automatically.

  • You can now modify filters and then save your filters as a view so that you do not need to reset filters every time.

  • The UI has been optimized now to have notification related functionalities including email templates and job notifications displayed under the General Settings > Notifications section.

  • Orphaned group team sites will now be scanned into SharePoint site containers.

  • You can now click the violation link in email notifications to open the violation report page to view detailed violations.

What’s New in Rules?

  • You can now enforce Team owners to be site owners and enforce Team members to be site members via the SharePoint Groups Membership Enforcement rule.

  • You can now enforce Team owners to be site admins via the Site Collection Administrator Enforcement rule.

  • You can now apply a policy containing Exchange mailbox related rules to Exchange mailboxes.

  • You can now choose whether to monitor guest users who have been trusted in Insights for Microsoft 365.
