General Updates

  • Authentication and data retrieval methods have been optimized:

    • App profiles can now be leveraged for most of the common operations.

    • Most of the management can now be completed without granting the Global Administrator role to the service account.

    • You can now view the configuration status of service apps and configure the service account used for each relevant feature in Prerequisites.

  • You can now configure whether to collect and show users’ street addresses and mobile information in System administration > Settings > Data retrieval settings.

  • You can now view the users who have created and modified each permission group.

  • You can now configure available domains of users and mailbox management for permission groups.

  • You can now filter audits by modules and the initiators' IP addresses.

What’s new in Microsoft 365 Management?

  • You can now configure whether to enable the automapping for shared mailboxes.

  • You can now configure whether to send the welcome email when adding users by invitation.

  • You can now view whether a user's MFA is controlled by the conditional access policy.

  • Profile photos of users can now be managed.

  • Groups can now be filtered by the last activity date.

  • You can now manage at most ten Teams policies for users at a time.

What’s new in Calling Management (Beta)?

  • Teams voice resources can now be managed in Calling, including:

    • Team users

    • Phone numbers

    • Caller ID policies

    • Auto attendants

    • Resource accounts

  • The Entrust for Teams Calling service app can now be used for data retrieval and object management.

  • The calling management permissions for permission groups can now be managed in System administration > Permissions.

What’s new in Power Platform Management? (Private Preview)

  • You can now use a service account with the Power BI administrator role for Power BI management.

  • You can now use the Entrust for Power Platform service app for data retrieval and object management.

  • You can now manage Power Platform connections with Entrust.

  • You can now manage Power BI workspaces and instances with Entrust.

  • New dashboards are available for Power Platform resources’ activity and usage monitoring, including:

    • Environment overview

    • Power App overview

    • Orphaned apps

    • Power Automate overview

    • Orphaned flows

You can also manage permissions to access these dashboards for your permission groups in System administration > Permissions.

  • Environments and Power Apps can now be managed with manually triggered workflows.

  • Environments can now be deleted in bulk.

  • You can now check users' access to environments, flows, and apps in the environments and perform management operations on the results page.

  • Additional resource types and management operations are now available for the copy of Environments, Power Automate flows, and Power Apps:

    • Azure AD, Excel Online (Business), Microsoft Dataverse (Legacy), Office 365 Groups, and Office 365 Groups Mail connections are now available for copy.

    • Automated cloud flows, Instant cloud flows, and Scheduled cloud flows are now available for copying.

    • You can now select whether to remove the SharePoint Online site visitor, flow co-owner, and app co-owner permissions granted to the service account after the copy analysis and copy process for Power Platform recourses finish.

  • Business context request related features have been optimized:

    • Business context requests can now be sent for flows.

    • Forms can now be customized in business context request email templates in Administration > Settings > Email templates.

  • Added filters to Power Platform management tables:

    • Environments can now be filtered by the number of custom connectors, connector tiers, usage, Entrust policy compliance status, and the number of security group members, shadow users, guest users, apps, and flows.

    • Power Apps can now be filtered by connector tiers, user activities, and the number of guests, show users, as well as users and groups that the apps are shared to.

    • Flows can now be filtered by connector tiers and the number of flow runs, co-owners, guests, shadow users, and connections

    • Power BI workspaces can now be filtered by the number of guests.

  • The detailed list of users can now be viewed by clicking the numbers in the user number related columns in Power Platform management.
