    AvePoint Insights for Microsoft 365 May 2021

    • Users can now remove the permissions of shadow users or groups of Microsoft 365 Groups and Teams in Insights for Microsoft 365.

    • Users can now remove external users from Azure AD and block external users from signing in. These functions require the re-authorization of the AOS app or the addition of the User.ReadWrite.All Microsoft Graph API permission to the custom app.

    • Users can now trust external users and remove external users from the trusted user list on the External Users report page.

    • Insights for Microsoft 365 now supports displaying the status (Active; Blocked; Not in AAD) of an external user via an icon in front of the user.

    • Users can now apply sensitivity labels to files in Insights for Microsoft 365. Applying sensitivity labels with encryption to files requires your organization’s subscription (or service principal) for the Azure Rights Management Services API, and also requires the custom app and the addition of the Content.SuperUser and Content.Writer Azure Rights Management Services API permissions to the app.

    • Insights for Microsoft 365 now supports exporting activity reports of objects or users.

    • Insights for Microsoft 365 now supports displaying more details in the More Information column for activities.

    • Insights for Microsoft 365 can now send email notifications for the current risk status. Users can configure the condition, email content, schedule, and email recipients for the notifications.

    • If any Teams/Groups have owners but the owners are all blocked, they are now calculated and reported in Teams without Available Owners/Groups without Available Owners of the Summary section on the Microsoft Teams/Microsoft 365 Group dashboard pages.

    • On the External links page, if an object is shared as its parent is shared, users can now view the access report of the parent object by clicking the link in the Inherit From column.

    • There is now a warning icon after a tenant on the Exposed to "Everyone" report page when any "everyone" setting is disabled in the tenant. Users can view the disabled settings by clicking the icon.

    • Insights for Microsoft 365 now provides sample data to allow users to explore the functions offered by Insights.

    • In System Event, Insights for Microsoft 365 now supports exporting the latest report of an event and allows users to choose the data scope they want to export.

    • The IP addresses of activities displayed in Auditor are now public IP addresses. The addresses of any old activities are not updated.

    • Insights for Microsoft 365 now supports new sensitivity definitions in the Canada country or region.

    • Insights for Microsoft 365 provides Web APIs to export the permission report of site collections and access report of users.
