    Compare Your Data for Restore

    Compare method allows you to compare two recovery points in the same backup cycle to find the data that may have been lost or have unexpected changes in the comparison results, and recover the records in time. The Compare method is an advanced restore feature. You can contact your AvePoint representative to enable this feature for your subscription.

    NOTE

    The Compare method only supports the data generated after the March 2022 release. In addition, only the entities that have the Audit logs function turned on can show the records that have been deleted between the two recovery points.

    Follow the steps below for how to use the Compare method:

    1. On the Compare page, click the organization or environment for which you would like to run the comparison. The Compare data for restore page appears.

    2. Select the two recovery points that you want to compare for the changes from the Old recovery point calendar list and the New recovery point calendar list.

    3. Click Compare.

    4. Click an entity name to view the comparison results for that entity.

    5. You can use the Primary ID property to search for the records or use the Status filter to view the records that have been added, modified, or deleted between the two recovery points.

    6. After your investigation for the records that have been deleted or have unexpected changes, you can select the records in the correct recovery point and click Next to restore. For the details on the restore settings, refer to Restore Record Data.
