Identity Manager

Identity Manager helps Microsoft Entra ID admins to simplify methods of managing users and groups. To access the Identity Manager module, you must create required app profiles in AvePoint Online Services. For more information about configuring app profiles, refer to the Manage App Profiles section in the AvePoint Online Services User Guide. For the permissions require by apps for Identity Manager, see the Required Permissions section.

The service account authentication method can also be used by Identity Manager. Note that if your organization uses features related to Exchange mailboxes, a service account profile is required. For details on managing service account profiles, refer to the Manage Service Account Profiles section in the AvePoint Online Services user guide.

*Note: If your organization selects Block access for the Apps that don’t use modern authentication settings in the SharePoint admin center, the service account profile with MFA enabled cannot be used for the Ghost Guest Users rule in Identity Manager. You can use the app profile authentication method for the Ghost Guest Users rule. For details about the permissions, refer to Required Permissions.
