#View Notifications

You can view the notifications of your activities within DMS Online in the Notifications window by clicking the Notification button in the upper-right corner of each page. When you have new unread notifications, a blue dot will be displayed in the upper-right corner of the Notification button. On the upper-right corner of the window, you can click View all to view all your activities within DMS Online, or click Clear all to clear all notifications. After reading the notifications, you can also click anywhere outside the window to close the window.

#Access the User Guide

To access the user guide, click the User guide button in the upper-right corner of each page in DMS Online.

#Search across Explorer

You can search site collections/document libraries/document sets/folders/documents in DMS Online by entering keywords in the Search acrossExplorer text box at the top of each page. You can also click the down arrow button in the text box and configure advanced search criteria to refine the search results. Refer to Appendix B - Supported Criteria for Advanced Search for details. To configure multiple search criteria, click Add more criterion to add one more criterion. To remove an added criterion, click the Remove button next to the criterion.

When the name or content of an object matches the keyword, the object will be displayed in the search results.

In the Search results section, you can narrow down the search results by switching tabs based on the object type. Under each tab, you can view the icon displayed in front of each object. For the site collection, document library, and document set, hover your mouse over the icon, you can view the tooltip for the icon.

You can perform different actions on different objects. Refer to the following instructions to view the actions you can perform on different objects:

• Site collections – Click the link below the site collection name to open the site collection.

• Document libraries – Click the link below the document library name to open the site collection that uses this document library. You can also click the Details button on the right to view the details of the document library.

• Document sets – Click the link below the document set name to open the document set location. You can also click the More actions button on the right and click Download to download the document set.

• Folders – Click the link below the folder name to open the folder location. You can also click the More actions button on the right and click Download to download the folder.

• Documents – Click the link below the document name to open the document location. You can also click the More actions button on the right and perform the following actions:

  • Open object location – Click this to open the document location.

  • Download – Click this to download the document.

  • View properties – Click this to view the document properties.
